DayZ achievements and trophies
Thirteen achievements, the same list on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation, no Platinum, and nothing added by any DLC. Most players unlock three and stop. Here is the full set, how rare each is, and how to get the rest.
At a glance
The set
The list has not changed since the Xbox Game Preview in 2018 and the PS4 launch in 2019. Steam writes them in the first person (“Killed my first infected”); Xbox and PlayStation use the imperative. Same conditions either way.

Steam percentages are the global unlock rate on 1 November 2026 and drift slowly. PlayStation rarities run higher because fewer casual players own the console version.
The hard ones
Getting the last four
Lobotomy (gold)
Twenty headshots, and infected count. A pistol at point blank on infected that are already lunging at you is the fastest route; see killing infected. Players count too, if you prefer the hard way.
Marksman
One player kill beyond 300 m. A Mosin, Tundra or VSD zeroed to 300 or 400, a ridge above a road into the Northwest Airfield, and patience. Zeroing is explained in the combat guide.
Close and personal
Fifteen player kills with melee. A fresh-spawn coast at night with a sledgehammer, or a duel partner who owes you a favour. Weapon choice: best melee weapons.
Heal the world and You have the right...
Thirty bandages on other people, and ten people handcuffed. Both are easiest with a group on a quiet server: a friend cuts themselves on a fence, you bandage, repeat. Handcuffs and rope both work for restraining.
Rules
What stops them unlocking
- Modded servers. On PC, servers running mods generally do not award Steam achievements. Play on official or vanilla community servers to earn them.
- Offline mode. Single-player offline tools do not count.
- Platform. Progress is per platform account; a kill on PlayStation does nothing for your Steam list.
- Headshots on sleeping players. They count. We are not saying you should.

Do achievements work on modded DayZ servers?
Usually not. Play on official or unmodded community servers to unlock them.
How do you get Lobotomy in DayZ?
Twenty headshot kills on survivors or infected. Infected count, so a pistol and a quiet town is the quickest way.
