The Jana 50 arrived free with update 1.30 on every map, alongside the faster Bitrak 682. It is the simplest vehicle in DayZ to get running and the easiest to fall off.

Fluids: petrol from a jerrycan. Tyres can be replaced; the exhaust and body are repaired with a blowtorch.
Step by step
Getting it running
- Find one. Bikes spawn on every map at fixed points, with the most on Nasdara; a bike with no plug is free.
- Fit a spark plug and pour in petrol from a jerrycan.
- Put on an enduro helmet or motorbike helmet. Crashes throw you off and your head lands first.
- Start and ride. If it will not catch, walk it: with the engine off or in neutral you can push the bike to cover.

How it rides
Lean and ragdoll
1.30 introduced a two-wheel physics model. You lean into turns, and a crash throws the rider with real injuries.
No air control
Once the wheels leave the ground you are a passenger. Nasdara has ramps; the Jana is not the bike for them.
Spark plug wear
Holding it past its speed damages the plug. Carry a spare.
Quiet and small
Much less engine noise than a car. Park it inside a shed or under a camo net and it is hard to find.
Best use
Solo trips on roads, town hopping, and reaching a body before someone else does.
Where it spawns
Fixed spawn points on every official map since 1.30, with the highest numbers on Nasdara and fewer on Chernarus, Livonia and Sakhal.
