Four seats, one spark plug, 40 litres. Added with Frostline, and on Sakhal the only way to the islands that does not end in hypothermia.

Rubber boat at a glance
The rubber boat came in update 1.26 with Frostline and now spawns on every official coast. It has no cargo of its own, needs one part to run, and is the loudest thing on the water.

Step by step
Getting it running
- Find one on the shore. Boats spawn at fixed coastal points; a boat with no plug is usually unclaimed.
- Fit a spark plug to the motor. Look at the outboard, not the hull.
- Pour petrol from a jerrycan into the tank.
- Push off and start the motor. Steering is slow; begin turns early.
- Keep a blowtorch aboard. The engine wears with server restarts and the torch brings it back to full.

Visible from everywhere
A boat on open water is seen from the whole bay. Cross at dawn or dusk and hug the shore.
Slow to turn
Wide, lazy turns. Line up the landing well before the beach.
Engine wear
The status icon goes none, yellow, orange, red. Wear seems tied to restarts rather than distance; a blowtorch resets it.
Beach it in cover
Land behind rocks or in an inlet. A boat on an open beach is gone by the next restart.
Passengers
Three can shoot from the boat. The driver cannot.
Why bother
Sakhal is an archipelago. Burukan and the island military loot are reachable by boat or by a swim that kills you.
Where it spawns
Chernarus: 24 boats over 50 spawn points on the east and south coast, thickest around Chernogorsk, Elektrozavodsk, Kamyshovo to Cape Krutoy, and Solnechny to Berezino. Livonia: 6 boats over 16 points on the main river in the north near Topolin and Nadbór. Sakhal: 14 civilian boats on the main island coast and 8 black or camo military boats only on Burukan.
